Alkhidmat Foundation is one of the leading non profit organizations in Pakistan, dedicated to humanitarian services since 1990. Alkhidmat Foundation provides disaster management services, health services to underserved people of Pakistan, runs orphanages and also provides interest free loans to needy families.
One of its wings, Alkhidmat Health Foundation holds field camps to provide emergency medical aid and also makes arrangements for complex medical conditions like eye surgeries. To hold such eye medical camps wherein surgical procedures can be performed, the foundation normally needs funds of one million rupees.
Yusra Faheem, a grade 12 student, has raised funds of 1.12 million rupees in Pakistan and has donated it to Alkhidmat Foundation for holding their upcoming eye medical camp.
“The idea of helping people see again was the driving force that kept me motivated to reaching out to more and more people for this worthy cause,” said Yusra.
She also feels that giving back to underserved communities is the best way for us to express gratitude for what life has given us.
