Two siblings, a brother and a sister, died as a result of the burns, while seven others are undergoing treatment.

A house in Faisalabad's Shareef Pura area caught fire on Wednesday owing to an explosion of a laptop battery, killing at least two people and injuring seven others.

According to rescue personnel, the residence on Satyana Road caught fire while the burst laptop battery was charging. They stated that the fire was extinguished later on. 

They said that at least nine family members, including five children and two women, were shifted to the Allied Hospital following the unfortunate tragedy. 

According to medical authorities, two siblings, a brother and a sister, died as a result of the burns, while seven others are undergoing treatment.

Following the terrible incident, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed grief for the children's deaths and sent her condolences and compassion to the grieving family. 

According to a provincial government statement, CM Maryam has ordered that those injured in the incident receive the best treatment and medical services available. 

Regional Police Officer Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan has directed the senior superintendent of police to launch an inquiry into the incident.
