In a letter to PTI leaders, Lahore Additional Deputy Commissioner Atiyab Sultan on Wednesday said that Imran Khan's speech at the rally at Minar-e-Pakistan tomorrow should be made online.
The former ruling party has been holding protests against its ouster, with Imran Khan repeating the claims of a 'foreign conspiracy' aimed at regime change in Pakistan. Imran Khan addressed the rallies so far in person, and the next one is planned tomorrow at Minar-e-Pakistan.
The Deputy Commissioner's Office issued a letter in which he wrote: "In light of severe threat alerts received from security agencies and as per latest intelligence assessment made at the district and provincial levels, it is recommended that ex-prime minister Imran Khan should address the public gathering virtually by video conference and LED display instead of making a physical appearance at Greater Iqbal Park, Lahore on 21-04-2022."
