Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shireen Mazari said that police officers in civilian clothing, including female officers and paratroopers, took away her daughter, Imaan Hazir Mazari.

Shireen Mazari fiercely denounced the incident, saying that the police broke down their front door and forced their way into her home. She voiced her shock at the overnight action by law enforcement, which resulted in her daughter's arrest and the seizure of surveillance cameras, Imaan's laptop, and her phone.

Shireen Mazari also stated that when she questioned their motives, they pulled Imaan away and started searching every nook and cranny of her home.

She said Imaan was wearing her nightdress. She went on to say that they ignored her daughter's plea for a moment to change out of her nightwear before whisking her away.

She is even more worried because there was no arrest warrant issued for the operation. She said that the security officers did not display an arrest warrant for her.

She said that just two ladies were residing in the home at the time of the raid.

Shireen Mazari labeled the entire incident "state fascism" and abduction.
