In this image Walt Disney, sound cartoon producer, shows Begum Liaquat Ali Khan a curio. Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan visited the United States from May 3 to 26, 1950.

Credit: Department of State. Begum Ra'ana was also shown the steps in an animated cartoon production during her visit to the studios.

The prime minister had been invited by President Harry Truman. They were received by the general American public in New Orleans, Louisiana. An official parade was held in New York City in the prime minister's honour and he was also conferred an honorary degree by Columbia University. During his visit, he also spoke at the House of Representatives.

The prime minister was assassinated a year later while addressing a public rally.
