“We are actively considering it,” the minister told reporters in Islamabad. “It is our basic right.”
“You cannot let India benefit [from cheaper oil] and put restraints on Pakistan”, he added.
Dar made it clear that any such purchase will be “at par with India’s, if not better”, and on terms favourable to Pakistan.
The PML-N stalwart also said that the proposal has been conveyed to the relevant quarters in Washington and there’s ‘no resistance’.
