The CTD apprehended nine terrorists, including the mastermind and seven facilitators, in connection with the attack on the security forces compound in Dera Ismail Khan earlier this month, which martyred at least 23 soldiers.
According to CTD documents, the mastermind of the terrorist assault is from the Daraban area of DI Khan, while the other six terrorists are from Afghanistan.
According to the documents, the terrorist who carried out the suicide attack, Hasan alias Shakir, is from Afghanistan and released a video before the attack. Whereas, the national identity card and domicile of the other suicide bomber killed in the attack, Sifat Ullah Marwat, also establishes that the attacker is from a neighboring country.
According to the records, five terrorists from the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Gandapur faction were also involved in the attack. US-made guns and ammo were also recovered from the terrorists.
