Karachi residents should prepare themselves for another spell of rain and make the necessary preparations, as the port city is predicted to be struck by downpours by the end of this week when a westerly system of winds enters the country on February 25.
According to weather analyst Jawad Memon, this system is likely to bring rain to Sindh and Balochistan. He also predicted that Karachi would receive rain as a result of this rain-producing system.
Memon stated that the system is likely to stay active until February 27.
It should be mentioned that strong downpours, along with thunder and lightning, created havoc in the city earlier this month, flooding roads and streets with rainwater mixed with sewage gushing from clogged pipes.
Following the downpour, the main arteries in the city were overflowing with floodwaters, trapping commuters in their vehicles while water penetrated homes and hospitals.
Commuters had difficulties due to pooled water combined with sewage pouring from blocked lines on major roadways, including MA Jinnah Road and II Chundrigar Road.
