Imran's Avarice For Power Driving Him Crazy: Asif Ali Zardari
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said on Tuesday that the State must establish its writ over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.

In a series of tweets, the PPP Media Cell shared statements the former president made in a meeting with the provincial ministers of Sindh, during which he said that all four provinces are currently battling environmental crises and politics, thus, must be placed on the back-burner for now.

Criticising Imran Khan, he said Khan's 'avarice for power' had left him mentally unstable. "Every day this person is criticising our armed forces, while army men are fighting terrorists and sacrificing their lives in two provinces," he said.

He went on to say that Khan had threatened police officers and female magistrates, and then had the audacity to quip 'just try to arrest me'. Zardari said that the judiciary must see whether Imran was above the law, and if he could be allowed to entangle Zardari, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz in political cases, while himself 'trampling any and every law'.

"The institutions and government will have to establish their writ or else the law, Constitution and institutions will keep falling prey to his demands," he concluded.
