A day after the International Committee of the Red Cross stated 22 people were killed in shelling that destroyed its office, Wafa news agency said, citing health officials in Gaza, that Israeli airstrikes on Saturday killed at least 43 Palestinians in the territory's north.

At least 138 people have been killed in the past 48 hours as a result of the attacks on Gaza City.

Dr. Mahmud Aliwa of Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City stated that his institution received 24 bodies following the attacks, which caused smoke to rise over the city. While some of the injured died from their wounds later.

"People were going about their business" when suddenly, "the whole area was wiped out" in an air strike, according to Abu Mahmud al-Kariri, an eyewitness in Al-Shati.

Against a gray backdrop of destruction, men used a donkey cart to remove some of the dead in Al-Tuffah.

It is pertinent to mention here that Israel's military offensive in the Gaza Strip has killed at least 37,551 Palestinians and wounded 85,911 since October 7, Gaza's health ministry said on Saturday.
