The Rt. Rev. Nadeem Kamran, Bishop of Lahore, has extended his warmest greetings to the nation on the occasion of Pakistan Day.

In a press statement issued on Saturday, the bishop stated, “On this auspicious day, as we commemorate the significance of March 23rd, Pakistan Day, I, the Bishop of Lahore, extend my warmest greetings to the sons and daughters of our cherished land.”

“Today marks a pivotal moment in our history—the Lahore Resolution of 1940—which laid the foundation for the creation of Pakistan. It is a day that epitomizes our forefathers' vision, determination, and solid commitment to establishing a nation where freedom and justice reign supreme,” he added.

The bishop said, “Though the Christian community may be seen as a minority, our roots are deeply ingrained in the soil of Pakistan. We share in the joys, the celebrations, and the solemn moments that define our collective identity. Our commitment to this land and our fellow citizens is a testimony to our shared desire for a harmonious and prosperous future.”

“The essence of March 23rd transcends the historical narrative; it is an inspiration of unity, a reminder that our diversity is our most formidable asset. Together, as Pakistanis, we have surmounted adversities and celebrated achievements, always striving for the betterment of our nation. It is this shared journey that enriches our heritage and cements our bond as one people, under one flag,” he stated.

He said, “On this day, let us rekindle the spirit of the Lahore Resolution by dedicating ourselves to adopting a culture of peace, mutual respect, and inclusivity. Let us honor the sacrifices of our ancestors by working tirelessly towards a nation where every citizen, irrespective of their faith, can live with dignity, enjoy equal rights, and contribute to our collective progress.”

“May this day inspire us to renew our pledge to our country, to work hand in hand for its prosperity, and to uphold the values of tolerance and coexistence that are the bedrock of our nation,” he added.
