A digital journalist was gunned down by unidentified attackers in North Waziristan on Tuesday evening.
According to the police, Kamran Dawar was on his way home from Tappi, Miramshah, when unidentified assailants opened fire on him. The gunfire left him seriously injured. He died from his injuries while being taken to the hospital.
Kamran Dawar was active on social media and ran a digital news channel named Waziristan TV.
The police stated that no information was available regarding the perpetrators' identities or the motivation for the crime.
In a separate incident, a journalist associated with a Sindhi newspaper suffered serious wounds and is fighting for his life after being shot multiple times by unidentified gunmen near Mirpur Mathelo in Ghotki district on Tuesday.
The motorbike-riding armed men showered Nasrullah Gadani with bullets at Kori Goth, 12 kilometers from Mirpur Mathelo, while he was riding his motorcycle to the town at around 11:00 a.m.
Gadani’s was in critical condition, due to which he was shifted to Karachi via air ambulance on Wednesday afternoon.
Mirpur Mathelo SHO Sadruddin Lak said that police were looking at the incident from all possible angles with the help of technology.
