Following their collaboration on the Toronto International Film Festival-winning films The Lunchbox and Kill, Karan Johar and Guneet Monga are ready to reunite for the Hindi translation of the beloved French film The Intouchables.

Collin D'Cunha will helm Karan Johar and Guneet Monga's Indian version of The Intouchables, according to a press release. Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano directed the first movie, which debuted in 2011.

Speaking candidly about the project, Karan stated, "It's an exciting opportunity and a creative challenge to work on The Intouchables." “We're determined to infuse this cherished French film with our cultural sensitivities while preserving its essence for the Indian audience.”

"The Intouchables is iconic and one of the most celebrated films around the world," stated Guneet Monga. Being able to present that to Hindi and Indian audiences is really thrilling. We are attempting dramedy after a thrilling, action-packed Kill, which represents the breadth of our partnership with Dharma and about which we are really enthusiastic!

Kill, co-produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, apparently had a positive Toronto International Film Festival premiere. Tanya Maniktala, Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, and others are featured.
