A delegation comprising Pakistan's special representative on Afghanistan, Asif Durrani, and senior military officers visited Afghanistan to give the Afghan Taliban a final ultimatum to take action against the hideouts of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants, said journalist Kamran Yousaf.

In a recent vlog on his YouTube channel, the journalist said that the visit was not formally announced by Pakistan, but the Afghanistan foreign ministry issued a statement regarding the visit and only mentioned their narrative in it, ignoring the discussion held regarding the TTP.

He said that tension is escalating between the two countries as the Afghan Taliban are not willing to take action against the TTP; in fact, they are supporting them. A message has been given to the Afghanistan foreign ministry that Pakistan will not tolerate any further activities of the TTP on its land, he added.

In his recent statement, US Special Representative for Afghan Reconciliation Thomas West said that Daesh and Al-Qaida have lost strength in Afghanistan, but the TTP has become stronger.

The Afghan Taliban has assured the delegation that they will take practical steps to neutralize the TTP threats being faced by Pakistan, the journalist said, citing sources.

He said that the Afghan Taliban had promised such support in the past as well, but the fact is that the TTP is freely operating in Afghanistan under Taliban supervision.
