Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and actor Zaheer Iqbal married in a private ceremony on Sunday evening, sharing the happy news and intimate photos on their Instagram profiles.
Both of them, who have been together for nearly seven years, decided on a registered marriage in Sonakshi's Bandra flat in Mumbai. Their family members and closest friends attended the special event.
Sonakshi's father, legendary actor Shatrughan Sinha, was prominently featured in the released images, joyfully standing by his daughter's side as Zaheer signed the marriage papers.
The newlyweds shared a series of images from their big day. One of the first shots shows Zaheer kissing Sonakshi's hand, indicating their compassion and dedication.
Sonakshi wore a cream saree for the event, while Zaheer wore a classic white kurta, which complemented each other's looks nicely. The couple's matching clothes provided a tranquil and beautiful feel to the event.
In their heartfelt Instagram post, Sonakshi and Zaheer wrote, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each other's eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today, love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs leading up to this moment, where, with the blessings of both our families and both our God, we are now man and wife.”
They added, “Here’s to love, hope, and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever. Sonakshi, Zaheer, 23.06.2024.” The couple chose to disable the comments on their posts to maintain the sanctity of their moment and to ward off any negative remarks.
