Sikh Pilgrims Reach Nankana Sahib To Observe Ranjit Singh’s Death Anniversary

More than 450 Indian Sikh pilgrims have arrived in Pakistan to participate in Maharaja Ranjit Singh's 185th anniversary festivities at Nankana Sahib, Guru Nanak's birthplace. 

During their three-day stay, the Sikh pilgrims will observe religious ceremonies and visit numerous sacred sites. 

The Indian Sikh pilgrims were greeted cordially by the local population, who demonstrated genuine respect and friendliness. "The love of the Pakistani people draws us here," remarked one of the pilgrims, echoing the good feelings of many others. "It feels great to be here," said another pilgrim, complimenting the warmth they had experienced.

The government has made significant preparations for the pilgrims' safety and comfort. Special security precautions have been implemented, including foolproof sanitation, langar, lodging, and transportation facilities. 

"The hospitality of the people here won our hearts," one pilgrim said, underscoring the warmth and compassion they felt. 

During their stay, the pilgrims will perform a variety of religious ceremonies at Nankana Sahib. They will also visit other sacred places. The pilgrims are set to travel today to Gurdwara Sacha Sauda, where they will continue their religious rites.

The 185th anniversary celebrations of Maharaja Ranjit Singh are extremely important for Sikhs all over the world. Singh, the Sikh Empire's founder, is honored for his contributions to the Sikh community as well as his attempts to foster religious tolerance. His legacy keeps inspiring Sikhs throughout the world. 

The authorities have taken extra care to commemorate this significant event, ensuring that pilgrims may complete their rituals and pay their respects to their adored leader without difficulty.
