A new audio leak, which can be regarded as the 'mother of all audio leaks' will surface in a few days, says journalist Ajmal Jami.

"The individual who will be a part of this conversation is a very high-ranking officer of a very prominent institution," he added.

The anchorperson made the remarks on Tuesday while talking to journalist Anjum Farooq in a podcast, as the duo discussed the new audio leak.

According to Farooq, the man in question is a very prominent person, and is being increasingly looked towards during the the past six or seven months.

"It will, without a doubt, bring a storm," he said.

Last week, the government formed a judicial commission to probe the audio leaks. Senior-most judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, will head the three-member commission.

Apart from Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, Naeem Akhtar Afghan from the Balochistan High Court and Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq are also included in the investigation commission.

The federal government also issued a notification regarding the commission formed to investigate the clips, including any new audio leak.

"The Commission will be entitled to establish a secretariat and appoint a secretary for the inquiry at the cost of the Federal Government. The Attorney General for Pakistan shall assist the Commission and provide the Commission with all documents and material that it requires," the notification read.

It stated that "the Commission shall initiate an inquiry immediately after the notification of its constitution and shall conclude the inquiry and submit its report to the federal government in thirty days. However, if the Commission requires further time, the Federal Government shall grant it.”

It is pertinent to mention here that audio leaks have sparked concern from the general public regarding the independence, impartiality, and uprightness of the chief justice and judges of the apex court.
