The court accepted Imran's bail petition against a surety of Rs100,000 till September 1. Later, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief also secured protective bail till September 7 in a case registered against him on charges of violating Section 144 in Islamabad on the day of the rally. The bail was granted against a surety of Rs5,000.
"Listen Inspector General (of police), we are not going to let you go, we are going to file a case against you. And madam magistrate you should also get ready, we will take action against you,” Khan had thundered during his speech at the rally. Imran had filed a pre-arrest bail at the Islamabad High Court on Monday to avoid being arrested in the anti-terrorism case.
