Quetta Court Approves Bail For Imran's Nephew Hassaan Niazi
A sessions court in Quetta on Saturday granted bail to Hassaan Niazi, PTI chairman Imran Khan's nephew, in a case pertaining to misbehaviour with police.

On Monday, Niazi was held moments after securing a pre-arrest bail in three other cases. He was taken into custody as he left the Judicial Complex.

A sessions court of Islamabad then sent him to jail on 14-day judicial. However, he was later handed over to Quetta police on one-day transitory remand following a case against him at Airport Police Station.

Today, in his testimony before the court, the accused said, “My fault is that I am Imran Khan’s legal adviser and I work with him, that is why I am being targeted.”

The judge rejected police's request for a five-day physical remand and approved the bail against a surety bond of Rs100,000.

Misbehavior

The report contained offences of obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions, attempted murder, assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of their duties, mischief causing damage, and criminal intimidation.

According to police, when the personnel tried to stop Niazi’s car, the driver tried to run over them. When stopped, the accused came out of the vehicle and verbally abused the personnel present. The FIR added that the accused then threatened to shoot the police personnel.

Cases against Imran

On Wednesday, Lahore High Court withdrew its order restraining law enforcers from action against the PTI chairman.

During the hearing, LHC judge Tariq Saleem Shaikh remarked that the FIA and the police had submitted the details of the cases. Therefore, the stay order cannot be intact anymore, he added.

PTI financers

On the other hand, according to the document available with The Friday Times, the federal police have decided to arrest all Islamabad-based financiers of PTI. Initially, a list of 21 people has been prepared.

On Tuesday, LHC granted protective bail to Imran in terrorism and corruption cases lodged against him.
