Speaking as the chief guest at an event organized by Green Crescent Trust for over 1,100 orphan students from Karachi, Gharo and Thattha, Ghani said that nearly 20,000 school buildings had been damaged due to the floods and the provincial government didn't have the resources to restore these buildings.
He said support from international donor agencies and local NGOs would be absolutely vital for the early revival of education for students living in flood-affected areas.
Ghani added that the Sindh government had the desire to make NGOs and charities concerned a partner in its drive to revive schooling within the shortest possible timeframe in the areas affected by floods.
