Unknown miscreants broke the tombstones of seven Ahmadis in the cemetery of the City Police Station in Farooqabad, Sheikhupura District on January 21 (Tuesday). In addition, hate-filled wall chalking was done outside the homes of Ahmadis, prompting a report to be filed with the police.

Following the incident, wall chalking was removed in some areas. However, due to the lack of action taken against the culprits, their morale was further emboldened. On the night of January 24, the miscreants again damaged 33 tombstones in the same cemetery. In total, 40 tombstones were vandalized. This cemetery is 35 years old.

The spokesperson for the Ahmadiyya Community in Pakistan, Amir Mahmood, strongly condemned the hate-filled wall chalking against patriotic and peaceful Ahmadis, as well as the desecration of the graves of 40 Ahmadis.

He criticized the administration's reluctance to take action against the miscreants. He stated that when the tombstones of Ahmadis were first damaged and provocative wall chalking was done, the authorities should have arrested those responsible for defacing the graves of Ahmadis.

The spokesperson called for those behind the hate-filled wall chalking and the desecration of the graves to be brought to justice.
