Bollywood star Kajol has played several unique roles and experimented with diverse genres in recent years. Now it appears that she is ready to try her hand at action in her next flick.
According to media reports, Kajol will rejoin Prabhu Deva after 27 years in an upcoming action movie. Cheran, the National Award-winning Telugu director, will direct the film, which is presently unnamed. He is most known for movies such as Autograph and Vetri Kodi Kattu. Film details are being kept under wraps.
Kajol and Prabhu Deva collaborated in Rajiv Menon's 1997 Tamil film Minsara Kanavu. The movie, which also starred Arvind Swamy, was a great success. The popular song Chanda Re was used in the Hindi dub version.
Kajol, who was last seen in an episode of Lust Stories 2, has several films in the works. She is slated to appear in Do Patti alongside Kriti Sanon, Sarzameen, starring Ibrahim Ali Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, and the horror thriller Maa, which is currently in progress.
