Heatwave To persist In Punjab Till May 27: PDMA

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has forecasted that the current heat wave in Punjab will last till May 27.

According to statistics, the province's maximum temperature is forecast to be 48 degrees Celsius. 

The PDMA predicted a severe heatwave in Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Multan. 

Furthermore, the PDMA director general stated that heatwave counters had been placed in all hospitals to prevent heat stroke. 

"The steps are being taken to ensure the provision of clean water in Cholistan." 

The PDMA was tasked with ensuring the availability of all relevant medications. 

Meanwhile, the temperature in Dadu rose to 47 degrees Celsius. The district government set up a heatstroke camp. Furthermore, inhabitants were suffering from a 14-hour power outage. 

Meanwhile, in Sukkur, the temperature hit 49 degrees Celsius.
