The spat dates back to Bipasha's debut with director duo Abbas Mustan's 2001 film Ajnabee. Things apparently got physical between the two when the one-time model was lent a helping hand by Kareena's costume designer without the latter's consent. An enraged Bebo even called Bips a "kaali billi" -- black cat and slapped her, according to India Today.
Presenting her side of the story to Filmfare, Bipasha termed the entire incident "quite childish". She also vowed to never work with Kareena again. ""I think this is a case of making a mountain out of a molehill. There were never any problems with me. She had some problems with the designer. I don't know why I was pulled in. It was quite childish."
Kareena was no less unsparing in her interview to the same magazine where she claimed Bips boasted no confidence in her talent and her spat with Bebo had become her sole claim to fame. ""She just doesn't seem to have any confidence in her own talent. In a four-page interview, she spoke about me for three pages. Why not talk about your work? I think her only claim to fame is that she fought with me during Ajnabee over dress designer Vikram Phadnis."
The two now share a cordial relationship since 2018 with the much-publicised spat well behind them, according to entertainment portal Koimoi.
