Express Tribune reported that the FIR was registered at the Defence A Police Station. In the complaint, the woman named Amna Yakub accused Leghari of breaking into her house and engaging in aerial firing. She also said that he threatened to kill her.
According to the complainant, the MPA had been forcing her to have a romantic relationship and was pretending to be unmarried. Further, she alleged that Leghari had also been forcing her to have a secret meeting with him. He also reportedly forcibly got Amna’s signature on the nikahnama.
Amna was quoted as saying that she complained to Leghari's father about his conduct, but to no avail.
MPA Sardar Khurram Khan Leghari, who is a member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had tendered his resignation from the position of special assistant to Chief Minister Punjab in October last year.
In April 2020, Leghari was removed by the provincial government from the post of special assistant to the chief minister on food.
