Columnist Javed Chaudhry says Aun made the revelation to him during a recent informal meeting at the latter’s house.
The two had met during the 2014 sit-in of the party against the then PML-N-led regime. "Reham used to come atop the container to interview him, and this contact gradually developed into a relationship, and subsequently, into a marriage."
Aun denied that the couple got married on the 10th of Muharram. He said Reham had not put forth any conditions for the marriage, while Haq Mehr was also set as per Sharia.
"We made the announcement about the wedding on Jan 8, 2015 that year after the sit-in ended in wake of the Dec 16 APS tragedy."
The media, he recalled, made a fuss out of it as it combined the two stories, but Khan sahib isn't the one to be worried by such things.

According to Imran's former aide, Reham eventually moved to Bani Gala and 'took charge' of the house, but then both started to have fights.
"Imran Khan likes to live as per his will and doesn't deal well with restrictions, whereas Reham wanted to control him, so they began to develop differences."
In Oct, 2015, we were staying at Nadir Laghari's house in Ghotki when I noticed the PTI chairman walking in the lawn; he spent that night thinking. "I think he had decided about the divorce that very night."
Aun said Imran Khan travelled to Islamabad the next day and he went to Lahore for the local bodies polls.
"I received a call from Imran Khan asking about when Reham was traveling to London. I used to manage the bookings, so I shared the details with him."
As soon as Reham's plane took off, on Oct 27, Khan sahib divorced her on email and she got it as soon as she landed in London, he said.
Aun added, "As soon as this word got out, we got badly defeated in the Oct 31 local bodies elections."
Nearly a month ago, Reham announced her marriage with Mirza Bilal Baig, an IBA-graduate based in the US and a professional in the country's corporate sector.
