Two PTI leaders Amir Dogar and Riaz Fatyana held a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja and urged him to delay the elections of provincial assemblies and conduct them along with the national assembly elections, which are expected to be held in October, journalists Umer Cheema and Azaz Syed reported on their YouTube channel.

The journalists said that both PTI leaders also requested that the chief election commissioner would mediate between PTI and the government. The PTI leaders also told the chief election commissioner that fair elections had been conducted in the past under his supervision and that they had full confidence in him.

While responding to the positive feedback and expression of faith by PTI leaders, the chief election commissioner said that it was a strange thing since 'your leader Imran Khan and others abuse us on a daily basis'.

PTI leader Amir Dogar responded that there was 'dictatorship' in the party and a few elements were misguiding Imran Khan.

Journalist Azaz Syed said that when he contacted PTI leader Amir Dogar to confirm the authenticity of the news, the PTI leader said that he never talked about a delay in elections, though he admitted suggesting that both provincial and national assembly elections should be held simultaneously.

According to Azaz Syed, Dogar clearly denied saying that the chief election commissioner should mediate between PTI and the government.
