PTI Senators Heckle Ishaq Dar During Swearing In Ceremony

PML N leader Ishaq Dar was sworn in as a Senator on Tuesday. The Leader of the House Azam Nazir Tarar welcomed Dar while the Leader of the opposition Dr Shahzad Waseem expressed his dismay over the return of a man who “absconds… His seat is empty for four years. An ordinance is introduced only to protect him.”

Meanwhile, PTI senators came near the rostrum and called Dar “bhagora (absconder)” while some carried posters and placards expressing their opposition to his appointment.

Earlier, during a convention in Peshawar, the PTI chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan addressed Dar’s return by saying that the new Federal Finance Minister had return to the country on the basis of a National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
