The lively city of Karachi recently hosted its first World Athletics-approved marathon, which drew over 1,000 athletes across all categories.

Aamir Sohail was in the spotlight after winning the tough 42.2-kilometer full marathon. Sohail won in an astounding 2 hours, 36 minutes, and 9 seconds, with Israr Khatak and Aamer Abbas finishing second and third, respectively.

Mahnoor's great skill shone through in the women's full marathon, when she led the pack and demonstrated outstanding physical prowess.

Hafiz-ul-Barkat won the equally difficult 21.1-kilometer half-marathon, finishing in an impressive 1 hour, 17 minutes, and 12 seconds. Akram and Zaher Shah finished second and third, respectively.

The marathon run, which was open to all ages, attracted passionate participation from women and children, emphasizing the sports spectacle's inclusive aspect.

Cash awards ranging from 500,000 to 10,000 rupees were announced for the deserving victors, adding to the enthusiasm surrounding the successful marathon event.
