Seth Uzman spoke at an event organized by the Pakistan Progressive Forum in Houston, Texas. Uzman is the co-founder of Jewish Voice for Peace. He narrated why JVP was leading a movement across the United States.

He discussed the organization's efforts in advocating for justice, equality, and freedom for all, highlighting their campaigns against rights abuses, emphasizing the need for solidarity in disrupting harmful exchanges, and urging activists to bring Palestine solidarity into workplaces. Uzman also stressed the importance of recognizing the interconnected struggles for justice and encouraging local actions to address societal needs, drawing parallels to historical movements.

Jewish Voice for Peace was established in 1996. It is a multi-generational, multi-racial movement comprising Jews in the United States dedicated to advocating for freedom, justice, and equality for all. As the largest progressive anti-Zionist Jewish organization in the U.S., its efforts extend to various campaigns such as opposing apartheid, supporting Palestine solidarity in tech workplaces, and actively participating in movements like "Ending the Deadly Exchange," which seeks to disrupt trade and rights abuses between Israeli military forces and U.S. police.

The organization, which operates on the principle that safety arises from grassroots solidarity against oppression, has been instrumental in mobilizing protests against the ongoing crisis in Gaza. Seth expressed gratitude for the opportunity to speak and underscored the importance of spaces like the Progressive Forum in Houston for building a robust and inclusive left movement.
