Aryan Khan Receives Bail From Bombay High Court In Narcotics Case
Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan, has received bail from the Bombay High Court after earlier bail pleas had been rejected multiple times. India's Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had resisted his attempts to obtain bail, alleging that he had been trafficking drugs and that he was in “conscious possession of contraband.”

In today's development, two other accused alongside him, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmum Dhamecha, had their bail pleas accepted by the court. They will not be released today, however.

Arrested during a raid on a cruise ship off Mumbai earlier this month, Aryan had unsuccessfully attempted to obtain bail three times. The NCB claims to have found 13 grams of cocaine, five grams of MD, 21 grams of hashish/charas and 22 pills of MDMA during the raid. However, these substances had not been in Aryan’s possession. The NCB claimed that this fact did not matter, and that he consumed drugs regularly, based on his Whatsapp conversations. Meanwhile, Aryan's lawyer had argued that these conversations had been taken out of context by the NCB.
