Imran made the remarks while addressing supporters before the PTI's Long March to Islamabad commenced from Lahore's Liberty Chowk. The PTI chairman, quoting Senator Azam Swati, said the two were behind the senator's (alleged custodial torture). Imran demanded the two be sacked. He said COAS Bajwa had done the same following a statement by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto. He said the actions of the two had dragged COAS Bajwa "through the mire".
Taking a potshot at DG ISI Nadeem Anjum, Imran said while the top spy had claimed the military remained aloof from politics, his presser was replete with it. The PTI chairman said the unprecedented media talk brimmed with more politics than a Sheikh Rasheed presser. The very least the DG ISI could have done, Imran said, was call out the ruling "cabal of crooks". But of course, Imran said, the entire exercise was aimed at him.
Warning the top spy, Imran claimed he was "cognisant" of "many things". Silent, the PTI chairman said, he only remained to prevent damage to Pakistan.
Imran said the PTI had embarked on a long march to further actual independence. He said he only desired free-and-fair general elections where the mandate of the people was respected.
