The two met during PM Shehbaz Sharif's first foreign visit as prime minister, where he embarked on a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia on April 28, accompanied by a delegation of ministers from his government.
The leaders discussed matters regarding bilateral ties between the two countries, and issues of trade and commerce during the meeting
In a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office on Twitter revealed that the PM was cordially received by Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman when he reached Al-Salam palace in Jeddah. The PM was also presented with a guard of honor.

The prime minister then introduced the members of his delegation to the Saudi prince, and was introduced to members of the prince's entourage as well.
On his three-day state visit to Saudi Arabia, Shehbaz Sharif is accompanied by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail and Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, amongst others.
The PM Office also released pictures of the PM's visit, where he is seen engaged in a meeting with Mohammad Bin Salman. "The matters relating to expanding trade & business ties, increasing investment, & creating opportunities for Pakistan's manpower came under discussion during the meeting," said a statement issued by PM's office.
PM Shehbaz thanked Mohammad Bin Salman for the warm welcome, and for his continued support of Pakistan. He also said they both "reaffirmed their commitment" to strengthening Pak-Saudi ties, admiring the 'visionary leadership' of Mohammad Bin Salman.
