Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan wrecked former DG ISI Faiz Hameed's career, Naya Daur executive editor Murtaza Solangi said on Wednesday.

Solangi made the remarks in flagship Naya Daur show Khabar Say Aagay. The PTI chairman left no stone unturned on this account given his glowing tributes to the general, he said. The former Radio Pakistan director general said if the former DG ISI continued to court controversy, a lot of this will have to do with Khan.

Analyst Muzamal Suharwardy posited otherwise. He said Hameed had made the then prime minister dance to his tune when he was ISI supremo. He destroyed Khan's career as a parting gift. The said Hameed had furthered nationwide political instability over the recent months only to fulfil his aspiration of being named top military boss.

Khan, journalist Nayyer Ali said, was not the establishment's first project. He, however, did smart more post his fall from grace since he was 'closest' to the 'powers that be'.

Flagship Naya Daur show Khabar Say Aagay streams every Monday to Saturday.
