Federal Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Saturday said that the interim government has 'zero tolerance' for terrorism and that they are willing to undertake large-scale efforts to root it out.

He said this while addressing the media after a meeting with Balochistan's Caretaker Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki, in Quetta.

The meeting came a day after a suicide bomber detonated explosives in a rally to celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), in which at least 55 people were killed and over 70 were injured.

Bugti said that they "knew each and everything" and had tracked those who were responsible for the attacks and from where instructions were issued to launch them.

"We have decided that there is zero tolerance [for terrorist attacks]," he said, adding, "There is no policy for appeasement."

He added that the government will track and smoke out the terrorists from their hideouts and completely eradicate them.

"We will launch as big an operation as is required and use all the forces that we need for it," he said.

"Even if a single Pakistani's blood is spilt, there is no space for such terrorists, their facilitators and sympathisers; we will go after them," he said, adding that all civil and military institutions will participate in the action against the terrorists.

"There is no pardon for the perpetrators in this country," he said, adding that Pakistanis will live as per their Constitution and will not surrender to these terrorists.

"Only the state has the right to exercise violence," he said.

Bugti reiterated condemnation of the attack and deemed its perpetrators cannot be Muslims.

He further said that they will get the best medical care for the victims.
