Nawaz Questions Motive Of 'Three Judges' In Scathing Criticism
PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif on Friday questioned the motive of the three-member SC bench hearing PTI's elections plea, and asked people to stand up against their decision.

While addressing a presser, he said that the government, lawyers, civil society, as well as the majority of judges have been unanimous as far as the decisions of the court are concerned.

He further said that the Parliament has okayed the bill seeking to limit the suo motu powers of the CJP's office and it is now with President Arif Alvi.

"The Parliament is the country’s biggest institution and it has its sanctity and so the development should be sensed,” he said.

The PML-N leader questioned the “stubbornness” to retain “these three judges on the bench”. He reminded the judiciary that it is a matter of national importance. “This isn’t the issue of a truck or a wheel-cart.”

Why do these three judges decide every case, he said and likened it with the developments in 2017.

Nawaz asked the reporters and the nation to compare his time in power with what is happening now.

“The situation now is that they have pushed the country to the brink, and it is because of the decisions made by such benches.”

He went on to ask the nation to stand up against the decision in the case. “Let’s be safe from this verdict."

Nawaz said it seems that the decisions revolve around one person. “The nation must decide; we won’t accept a decision of their liking.”

When asked if his party will accept the decision of the top court in the case, he said, “We don’t accept this bench, how are we going to accept their decision?”

He furthered, “I don’t understand the reason behind not forming a full court; the decision would be acceptable for everyone. What is the motive behind this?”

While responding to another question, he asked the judiciary if they want to constitute all benches to appease one man.
