PTI chairman Imran Khan has once again spoken of fears he might be targeted to prevent his return to power again.
Addressing his supporters via live telecast on Wednesday, Imran said “powerful people” were in efforts to stop him as they feared his imminent return to the government.
Imran alleged that five people, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and “Dirty Harry” were behind the plot to take his life in November last year.
He said that the same individuals were plotting to 'eliminate' him, saying the coalition government knew that they could not face the former ruling party in the polls.
"They have been evading the elections because they know that the people have turned against them due to the current state of the economy."
On the occasion, the PTI chief reiterated ending his Jail Bharo tehreek, and announced electioneering for Punjab and KP polls from March 4.

Earlier today, Imran and the workers of his party were booked in yet another case, for alleged vandalism outside Islamabad’s judicial complex.
According to the FIR, a group of 2,800 armed workers of the party led by its chief stormed the complex. It added that the workers were ‘carrying firearms and stones’ during their act of public disturbance.
The case, filed on the complaint of SHO Ramna, named Ghulam Sarwar, Farrukh Habib, Shibli Faraz, Tahir Sadiq, Raja Basharat, Shahzad Wasim, Murad Saeed and Abdul Qudous Khan Swati and other leaders of the party.
It said that PTI leaders spread fear and terror among judiciary, police, and others, a day earlier during the crucial court proceedings.
“The workers broke the court benches and chairs of security staff and also threatened to kill the security staff,” it said. “The party's mob broke the security cameras installed in the court premises as well.”
