Tufail Niazi is considered one of Pakistan's greatest folk singers. Born in the only Muslim family in the Sikh village of Madairan in Jallandhar district, Tufail Naiz was trained in music by his family who were 'Pakhawajis' by profession. His voice is full of pathos. He excels in describing filial bonds such as the love of a daughter and father. He also has the honor of singing the first song that was aired on PTV.
