Shaheen Shah Afridi, the outstanding pacer from Pakistan, has emerged as the top bowler in one-day internationals (ODIs) after an outstanding showing in the upcoming ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023.
The 23-year-old fast bowler has gained seven points to take the top spot in the ICC ODI rankings, ahead of Josh Hazelwood of Australia and Mohammed Siraj of India.
During the match against Bangladesh on Tuesday, Shaheen became the fastest fast bowler to reach 100 wickets in an ODI.
In the meantime, Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, continues to be ranked first in the batting rankings. Shubman Gill of India is only two points adrift of him.
Shubman has 816 points, while Babar has 818.
While Imam-ul-Haq is in 11th place, Fakhar Zaman has improved and is currently ranked 14th.
Fast-bowler Haris Rauf, meanwhile, had a five-point increase in his ranks. He is now ranked 26th. Wasim Jr. has moved up to the 56th spot, gaining 18 points.
