Bilawal On PDM's Karachi Event: Could Do Better With Women's Participation
PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has taken aim at the PDM jalsa organized in Karachi this week, suggesting that the opposition rally “would have been more effective if they gave women permission to participate.”

“This is not Afghanistan. This is Karachi, capital of Sindh,” the PPP leader told the PDM.

The PPP Chairperson opined that even one household could not be run without a woman. “Maybe this was a reason that Karachi rejected them,” he conjectured, adding that they had failed to create the same impression as the opposition movement had in the past.

Earlier this year, the PPP had parted ways with the opposition alliance. However, the PPP Chairperson on this occasion asked his party's Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to talk to PDM leaders Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman and PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif, to assure them that the PPP was available in case they “needed anything.”
