Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has said that the option of the establishment interfering in the ongoing political situation and calling for early election remains available. He added that there were two options: early elections or resignation of PTI parliamentarians from their seats.
He issued these remarks while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.
He repeated Prime Minister Imran Khan's allegation that the opposition used foreign funding to bring the no-confidence motion against the PM. The minister also said that those involved in this 'international conspiracy' should be tried for treason.
He then went on to say that the third option is to wage a war on the opposition leaders, whom he referred to as 'thieves' and 'robbers'. "Those who have died politically should be buried," he said.
