Karachi is presently experiencing a new stretch of cold weather after receiving rain this morning.
Light rain fell throughout the busy metropolis this morning. The torrential rain was recorded on II Chundrigar Road, Shahra-e-Faisal, the Old City Area, MA Jinnah Road, Saddar, and surrounding regions.
Showers embraced Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
On Tuesday, many regions of the city, including Super Highway, Nooriabad, Kathor, and their surrounds, also had rainfall.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had previously warned that snowfall in the country's upper regions might disrupt transportation today, so visitors and people in steep areas were urged to exercise caution.
According to meteorologists, a westerly wave is impacting the western and upper portions of the country and is expected to remain for the next few days.
They predicted cloudy weather with rain (snowfall over mountains) in Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, the Potohar region, Upper Punjab, and Kashmir, as well as heavy rainfall and snowfall in isolated areas of Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Galiyat, and upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during the period.
They stated that fog was probable in a few spots in Punjab and upper Sindh.
Wednesday’s minimum temperature was recorded at Leh, where mercury dropped to -07°C, while in Lahore it was 9.3°C and the maximum was 22°C.
