Pakistan Sends Second Humanitarian Aid Package For Gazans

Pakistan sent a third consignment of 20 tonnes of aid commodities to Gaza on Monday, including medications, medical equipment, dry rations, and hygiene kits, as Israel continued its atrocities against Palestinians.

The shipment will be handed over to the Red Crescent after arriving at Al Arish Airport in Egypt.

Since October 7, over 22,000 Palestinians have been killed and 56,697 have been injured in Israeli strikes in Gaza, according to the Gaza health ministry. According to the government, 156 Palestinians have been killed and 246 have been injured in the last 24 hours.

According to an official statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani dispatched the cargo using a special Pakistan Air Force aircraft from Nur Khan Airbase in Islamabad.

The interim FM described the consignment as a gesture of solidarity with Palestinian brothers and sisters on the first morning of the new calendar year in his remarks at the sendoff ceremony.

Reiterating Pakistan's unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their legitimate and valiant struggle for the right to self-determination, the top Pakistani diplomat emphasized the importance of a ceasefire and an unhindered flow of humanitarian aid to the people of occupied Gaza, who are facing brutal Israeli aggression.

The Palestinian ambassador praised the government and the Pakistani people for their ongoing support, particularly the major gesture of commemorating the New Year by expressing solidarity with the Palestinians.

In November of last year, Pakistan dispatched the second cargo of aid materials for besieged Palestinians in Gaza.
