A senior Hindu doctor, a Sikh shopkeeper, and a Christian laborer were gunned down in separate incidents in the country by unknown assailants during the last three days.
As per details, 62-year-old Dr. Beerbal was leaving his private clinic in Karachi’s Garden area on Thursday evening when unidentified gunmen shot him dead. Moreover, her assistant, 35-year-old Dr. Qurutulain, was injured by armed assailants near the Lyari Motorway junction.
In a separate incident, 35-year-old Sikh shopkeeper Dyal Singh was killed by unknown attackers in Peshawar’s Garhi Ata Mohammad area.
The assailant parked his motorcycle outside Dyal Singh’s shop and fired two shots from a pistol, which resulted in the sudden death of the Sikh shopkeeper.
In another incident that occurred in Peshawar too, a Christian man, Kashif Maseeh, was shot dead by unknown attackers on Saturday. He was attacked while returning from his job.
The tragic incidents have spread fear among minorities, and several human and minority rights organizations are raising demands to ensure the protection of marginalized segments of society.
