Unidentified gunmen targeted the vehicle of National Democratic Movement leader Mohsin Dawar on Wednesday in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's North Waziristan area.
According to reports, Mohsin Dawar escaped the attack because his car was impenetrable.
Unknown gunmen fired numerous rounds into the rear mirror of the car of the former MNA. Mohsin has been in Northern Waziristan for his electoral campaign.
According to authorities, Mohsin Dawar was not injured in the incident and has been moved to a nearby secure location.
According to police, security forces personnel are on the scene, and the hunt for the accused has begun.
On Tuesday, the bodies of six men shot to death were discovered in fields in North Waziristan, a tribal region in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan.
