Fans were moved to tears by the image. To honor the late actress, they all wrote a few lines. "Nargis, the Lady in White, who was hailed as the First Lady of Indian Cinema, had several firsts to her credit," one of the fans remarked on Twitter. She was the first actress to get the Padma Shri while still at the height of her career.

A fan described her as "the first Indian actress to win an international award at Karlovy Vary for Best Actress and, again, the first Indian actress who went on to become a cult figure not only at home but also abroad, especially in the former Soviet Union."

Priya Dutt, the sister of the Munna Bhai MBBS actor, also released a video on the anniversary of her mother's passing.

Nargis, Dutt's mother, was a well-known actor in Indian cinema. She suffered from pancreatic cancer and died in 1981. Five days prior to Rocky, Dutt's Bollywood debut film, being released, she passed away.

Sanjay Dutt's most recent acting role was in the popular movie KGF: Chapter 2. Leo, his upcoming movie with Thalapathy and Trisha Krishnan, is scheduled to hit theatres this October, according to Indian media.
