A mild earthquake rocked Karachi on Thursday, causing modest seismic activity to be detected around the city.

According to the seismological center, the earthquake measured 2.3 on Richter scale, originated 38 kilometers northeast of Malir and was 84 kilometers deep, Fearfully, people exited their houses and began reciting verses from the Holy Quran.

Authorities are warning locals to be watchful and take the appropriate measures in the wake of the earthquake, even though there have been no early reports of damage or injuries.
