Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said on Saturday veteran Bollywood personalities Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah and Javed Akhtar were part of the “Tukde-Tukde” gang – a slur coined by supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to target critics.
The MP home minister said the aforementioned only raised their voice on happenings in BJP-ruled states. He added they remained mum over incidents across other states.
“People like Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah and Javed Akhtar are the sleeper cell of the Tukde-Tukde gang,” he said.
The minister said Shabana had not raised her voice when incidents took place in Congress-ruled states such as the murder of Kanhaiya Lal in Rajasthan and the case of a woman being burnt alive in Jharkhand.
