Confessional Statement Of Drug Smuggler Impersonating Army Major Surfaces 

The confessional statement of a person who was caught smuggling drugs by posing as a fake army officer has surfaced, in which he apologized to the nation and the army.


Senior journalist Murtaza Ali Shah shared the video of the drug smuggler's confessional statement on his Twitter account. In his statement, the drug seller said that his name is Iqbal Ali and his father’s name is Farman Ali. "I am a resident of Abbottabad, and I have no connection with the army. I am involved in smuggling work, and for that, I used army uniforms, due to which the reputation of the army was damaged," he added.


The drug smuggler further said that the nation was also angry with his act. "I apologize to the nation for the damage I caused to the reputation of the army. I will never do such a thing again."


It is pertinent to mention here that on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, the police recovered 60 kg of hashish from the car of a fake army major in the Mardan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.


Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise Department officials stopped a suspicious vehicle at the blockade in Mardan on a tip-off, in which a man from Burdi identified himself as a major, but when the Excise Police asked to search the vehicle, the person immediately drove away.


After a long chase by the officials of the Excise Department, the vehicle was stopped near Risalpur Gate, and the accused was arrested.


According to the spokesperson of the Excise Department, during the search of the vehicle, 60 kg of hashish that was being smuggled to Punjab was recovered.


The accused, a resident of Abbottabad, was wearing a fake uniform of a major and also had a fake official number plate affixed to the vehicle.
