Another Spell Of Monsoon Rains Expected In Punjab
Monsoon rains are expected in several Punjab districts until August 7, according to a meteorological prediction released by the Pakistan Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Friday.

The PDMA representative claims that locations close to the rivers may receive both light and heavy rains, which would exacerbate the province's existing flooding problem.

Currently, the situation in the rivers of Punjab is dire, and there have been reports of minor flooding in Sidhanai on the Ravi River. At Sidhanai, the water inflow has surpassed 52,040 cusecs, while the discharge has been calculated at 36,840 cusecs.

Low-level flooding in the Sutlej River has been seen at Sulemanki and Islam locations. The Jhelum River's Mangala may see a high-level flood, according to the PDMA spokesperson.

Despite the difficult circumstances, there is some solace in the fact that the water flow at the Kalabagh and Tarbela dams is unaltered. Similarly, the Jhelum and Chenab rivers' water flows remain steady.
